Standing in Lotus Square next to the Forum, the large sculpture of “Lotus Flower In Full Bloom” presented by the State Council of China in 1999, marks the return of sovereignty of Macao.

一九九九年十二月二十日，澳門回歸祖國的第一天，由中國國務院贈送的大型鑄銅貼金雕塑”盛世蓮花”於綜藝館前金蓮花廣場揭幕。

The lotus flower, which is in full bloom, symbolizes the everlasting prosperity of Macao. There are three layers of red granite at the base, which are in the shape of lotus leaves, signifying the Macao Peninsula, Taipa Island and Coloane Island.

蓮花盛開象徵澳門永遠繁榮昌盛。三層紅色花崗岩相疊的基座，形似蓮葉，寓意澳門三島。

澳門大熊貓館位於路環石排灣郊野公園內，建築占地約3000平方米，整個建築利用現有的地形結合建築的特性進行設計，依山而建，呈扇形的分佈。

Nestled against a hill side in Seac Pai Van Park in Coloane in a fan-shaped layout of about 3000m2, Macao Giant Panda Pavilion is designed to take advantage of combining the terrain’s natural undulations with the architectural characteristics.

大熊貓館的外觀造型設計以仿自然為主，活動場的圍牆以仿山石包裹，營造一個自然山水環繞的大熊貓的活動場地。館內設有兩個面積各約330平方米的室內活動區和一個面積約600平方米的室外活動場，以供大熊貓活動之用。而為了大熊貓的生活需要，館內還設有大熊貓的後勤中心，包括獸舍、竹子清洗區、竹子儲存庫、飼料準備室、飼料儲存庫、監控區和醫療室等…

The pavilion comprises two 330m2 indoor activity quarters and a 600m2 outdoor yard for the inhabitation of the giant pandas and a 900m2 indoor exhibit area. Two viewing paths of different elevations align along the front edge of the fan-layout indoor activity area, accessible to two streams of visitors. Internal facilities include a logistic centre with panda dens, bamboo-washing and storage quarters, feed preparation room, feed warehouse …

In the aftermath of typhoon Hato, the entire city is committed to various tasks for restoration and recovery from the catastrophe. On the other hand, the related infrastructure and facilities required for fireworks displays have suffered damages, while different departments and entities supporting the fireworks event are now dedicated to tackling the aftermath. Considering the above circumstances and various factors, Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) announced today (26 August) that the 29th Macao International Fireworks Display Contest is officially canceled. This arrangement is expected to affect visitors and members of the private sectors concerned, whose kind understanding is deeply appreciated.
颱風天鴿後全澳投入救災，涉及煙花表演所需的基建設施亦有受損，加上支持澳門國際煙花比賽匯演的多個部門及單位需要參與風災後的工作，故綜合考慮各方因素，旅遊局今(26日)宣佈取消第29屆澳門國際煙花比賽匯演。此安排將對相關業界及旅客帶來影響，敬希見諒。
In addition, the Fireworks Carnival, Trophy Design Contest, Photo Contest and Student Drawing Contest of the 29th Macao International Fireworks Display Contest are canceled in accord.

此外，火樹銀花嘉年華、第29屆澳門國際煙花比賽匯演的獎盃設計比賽、攝影比賽和學生繪畫比賽亦一同取消。

Opened on 19th December, 2001, Macau Tower is 338 metres in height. It is an elegant construction offering magnificent panoramic views all over Macao and much of the Pearl River Delta from its observation deck and revolving restaurant, at the 223-metre level. There is the opportunity to walk around the outside of the tower, for instance “Skywalk X”.Besides the tower, there are a 4-floor Convention and Entertainment Centre, restaurants, cinema, a 2-level basement and an outdoor plaza.

座落於南灣新填海區，塔高338米的旅遊塔，是一個集旅遊、觀光、表演、會議、展覽、購物、餐飲、娛樂及通訊於一體的綜合設施。

塔樓離地面223米，樓高達四層，包括兩層高的觀光主層，內有玻璃地面，可從觀光層鳥瞰澳門；還有一個可容納250人的旋轉餐廳，視野55公里，讓人盡覽澳門地區、珠江三角洲和部份香港離島的景致。旅遊塔設有玻璃升降機，由地面至觀光主層約45秒左右，乘客感受景物迅速離開自己的腳底，有一飛衝天的感覺。
