Acclaimed as one of the top eight sites of Macao, the Taipa Houses represents the charming Portuguese architectural style in Taipa. The Portuguese residences along Avenida da Praia, together with the neighbouring Our Lady of Carmel Church and the garden, comprise a picturesque landscape in which the five green houses stand out as the most representative.

「龍環葡韻」是澳門八景之一。「龍環」是氹仔舊稱，「葡韻」是指這裡葡萄牙建築風韻，包括海邊馬路的多座葡式住宅、嘉模教堂、公園等一帶如詩似畫的迷人景致，其中以五座碧翠凝綠的小型建築最具代表性。

These five houses, built in 1921, once served as the residences of senior civil servants, also namely Macanese families; in 1992, they were acknowledged as a building complex of architectural value. Later, the government decided to revamp the houses completely as a museum site, opened to the public at the end of 1999 as the ‘Taipa Houses-Museum’.

這幾座建築早於1921年落成，曾為高級官員官邸，也是具代表性的土生葡人住宅。1992年，該五座建築被評為具建築價值的建築群。經徹底修復後，政府將之改建成博物館區，名為「龍環葡韻住宅式博物館」，自1999年底起對外開放。

Flowers are traditionally an integral part of Chinese New Year festivities, with the Chinese New Year’s Eve Flower Market a popular evening treat for families hunting down their favourite plants.

While few Asian cities permit such activities, Macao’s Firecrackers and Fireworks Zones in Taipa and on the Peninsula attract thousands of spellbound admirers who as like as not will also purchase pinwheels for luck from the Incense and Pinwheel Stallsat A-Ma Temple.

農曆新年逛花市可謂華人社會過春節必備節目，讓過年加添濃厚氣氛。民政總署於新春前夕舉行春節年宵市場，除有年花攤檔外，亦有各式禮品檔、小食及遊戲攤位等，滿足各位辦年貨的需要，慰勞自己過去一年辛苦工作。

爆竹一聲除舊歲，新春不能沒有爆竹聲，各位可以到爆竹煙花燃放區，一嘗燃放煙花爆竹的節慶活動。媽閣廟前地設有神香風車檔，讓各位能夠買個風車，轉轉大運，新一年能夠時運亨通。

Revolving around a tale about the God of Wealth and a Golden Eggs Celebration of the New Year, the 14 float Parade will wend its way through some of the most atmospheric districts of the city, while some dozens of performers from Macao, Hong Kong, Mainland China along with onstage Hong Kong and Macao singers will provide oodles of entertainment. For the convenience of residents and visitors, the spectacle will be broadcast in Chinese and Portuguese on giant screens throughout the city, with a spectacular fireworks display capping festivities on the inaugural evening.

春節期間各處喜慶洋洋，熱鬧氣氛佈滿全城。為向市民及旅客送上精彩節目，「百鳥朝凰報春曉」花車巡遊匯演於年初三（30/1）及年初八（4/2）上演。今年花車巡遊以財神金蛋賀新年為故事背景，帶來花車巡遊、千人匯演、煙花表演及花車展覽等精彩活動。整個花車巡遊匯演透過澳門中文及葡文電視台及設於7個地點的屏幕直播，市民與旅客可以在不同的地區觀看現場盛況。

今年花車巡遊共有14部花車、多個本地團體及來自中國內地、香港與多個國家的外來表演團體合共600名表演者參與盛事。年初三的巡遊開幕禮與年初八的匯演，同樣由一眾本地及香港歌手擔任表演嘉賓。
