Continuing this annual tradition, this year’s Festival is sure to attract even more visitors to the territory to admire the beautiful perennial aquatic plant found far and wide throughout China. Themed ‘Splendour of Lotus Flowers’ this year, the main exhibition located at the Taipa Houses employs a landscape dotted with architectural elements typical of South Asia, incorporating pointed arches and repeated geometric patterns to highlight the beauty of the lotus.

「荷香樂滿城——第十七屆澳門荷花節」在氹仔龍環葡韻主展場以「印象碧荷」為主題，佈置充滿南亞建築風格的園景，通過各種尖拱、圓拱及大量重複的幾何紋飾作為背景，襯托出荷花優雅飄逸的姿態，帶出獨特的南亞風情。

This temple is located close to the old Chinese Bazaar area, which nowadays functions as St. Dominic’s Market, still keeping the essence of the original function of the area.

三街會館之所在地原為昔日澳門之繁榮市區“榮寧坊”，故其門前之社壇現仍刻有榮寧社字樣，且有聯云“榮居康樂境，寧享太平年”。

The location of this Chinese construction at the heart of the main city square with its predominantly western-style architecture illustrates the harmonious coexistence of the two cultures.

This temple is directly associated with long-standing Chinese business associations, precursors to the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in the city.

會館初設時只是商人議事的場所，後因館中設有關帝神殿及財帛星君殿，祀者日眾，廟宇成為會館的主要功能。

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

Founded in 1587 by three Spanish Dominican priests who originally came from Acapulco in Mexico, this church is also connected to the Brotherhood of Our Lady of the Rosary. It was here that the first Portuguese newspaper was published on Chinese soil, A Abelha da China (“The China Bee”), on 12th September 1822. The bell tower, at the back of the building, has been modified into a small Museum of Sacred Art, now exhibiting a collection of around 300 artifacts.

由聖多明我會（道明會）創建於1587年，是該會在中國的第一所教堂。教堂初時用木板搭建，華人稱之為“板樟廟”。又因教堂供奉玫瑰聖母，故又稱“玫瑰堂”。整座教堂建築富麗堂皇，其巴洛克建築風格的祭壇更是典雅精緻。教堂旁的“聖物寶庫”收藏了三百多件澳門天主教珍貴文物。

The Festival celebrates that country’s New Year and sees off the old by sprinkling water and offering prayers.

澳門匯聚中西文化，不同地區的節日慶典在小城上演。本月有東南亞國家的傳統節日潑水節，男女老少互相潑水，送上洗舊迎新的祝福。

On the first day of the Festival (22/4), monks pray and distribute blessed rice (12:00 noon) followed by a Blessings Parade (1:30pm), while the Myanmar and Southeast Asia Cuisine and Cultural Festival (12:00 noon to 10:00pm) features booths of tempting southeast Asian fare, while Folk Music and Dance Performances (7:30pm) will get you in the groove.

活動首日（22/4），在三盞燈圓形地舉行高僧唸經祈福及派福米（中午12時）、社區灑水祈福巡遊（下午1時30分）、緬甸及東南亞美食文化街（中午12時至晚上10時）及民族舞蹈表演晚會（晚上7時30分）。

Close to the world’s tallest statue of the goddess A-Ma (or named Tin Hau) on the mountaintop on Macao’s Coloane Island, A-Ma Cultural Village is a 7,000-sq. m. cultural complex which celebrates the legend of the Goddess of Seafarers.

由澳門中華媽祖基金會策劃興建的媽祖文化村，其主體建築 – 天后宮早前舉行落成慶典。

The village architecture mainly comprises a pavilion-style front gate, a carved marble altar, Tin Hau Palace, Dressing Hall along with Bell Tower and Drum Tower. The grand complex attracts A-Ma devotees and interested tourists alike for a visit. Nearby, Visitors can refresh themselves at the park next to the village, or follow the hiking trail up to the magnificent A-Ma Statue on hill top and enjoy a captivating view of the island.

天后宮的建築風格按照中國古建築的傳統規制設計和建造，是集閩南古建築藝術、宗教、民俗、文化、休閒等價值於一身的旅遊設施。

山頂除天后宮外，還有山頂公園及媽祖像可供遊覽，天后宮開放時間為每日上午8時至下午6時。

Park of Dr. Carlos d’Assumpção extends the green corridor from the Avenida de Amizade across the newly developed landfill area to the bronze Kun Iam statue which stands on its man-made island at the shoreline of the Outer Harbour.

宋玉生公園位於友誼大馬路另一側的外港新填海區內。

The park features secluded arbours, avenues of palm trees, a children’s playground, fountains, and ornamental ponds. At the foot of the park is a promenade with views of the Outer Harbour, bridges, and Taipa Island.

填海區盡頭對開的人工島上建有觀音像。 園內環境優美，種滿棕櫚樹和灌木。公園的一側設有音樂噴泉，其水柱造型、組合千變萬化；另一側為荷塘拱橋，橋下池水清澈，有鴨子和錦鯉於水中嬉戲，一派悠然自得與人同樂的景象。
