The annual Macao International Fireworks Display Contest usually takes place on several Saturdays every September, on Mid-Autumn Festival and on China’s National Day on 1st October.

一年一度的「澳門國際煙花比賽匯演」，不僅照亮了澳門的夜空，也牽動著人們心底的情懷。每年九月份，一般於週六、中秋節及國慶日的晚上，都舉行兩場煙花比賽匯演，為假期和節日添上熱鬧和歡欣

The marvellous fireworks displays add a joyous atmosphere to holidays and festivals, and have become an annual must-see in Macao, with many spectators specially choosing this time of the year to visit for an exotic and romantic break.

。市民大眾都熱切期待煙花盛放的時節，很多旅客也特意選擇這段期間來澳觀賞煙花，度過既熱鬧又浪漫的假期。煙花比賽匯演已成為澳門的特色標記。

FIVB World Grand Prix is the annual spectacular world-class volleyball challenge organised by the Federation Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB).

世界女排大獎賽，是國際排球聯會所舉辦一年一度的大型世界級排球比賽

Macao has been hosting this event annually since 1994, except in 2003 and 2004. In 2001 and 2011, Macao hosted the FIVB WGP Finals.

澳門自1994年開始主辦世界女排大獎賽的分站賽賽事，亦曾於2001及2011年主辦總決賽。

The televised FIVB World Grand Prixhas not only created a platform for volleyball stars to excel on but generated great interest in the sport locally plus unparalleled excitement for fans in Macao who have a golden opportunity to see their heroines up close and personal.

The annual Macao International Fireworks Display Contest – universally acclaimed as one of the best of its kind – takes place on the Macau Tower Shorefront from mid-September to 1^st October every year.

每年九月中旬至十月初，澳門都會舉辦精彩的國際煙花比賽匯演

Over the years, more than 100 international teams from China, the Philippines, Thailand, Chinese Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Australia, the UK, Switzerland, France, Germany, Portugal and Spain have participated in this world-class pyrotechnic shoot-out.

吸引來自中國、菲律賓、泰國、中國台灣、日本、韓國、澳洲、英國、瑞士、法國、德國、葡萄牙及西班牙等國家和地區的高水準煙火公司參加。

Many visitors choose this time of year to come to Macao to enjoy an exotic holiday illuminated by spectacular displays in the night sky that can be enjoyed from many vantage points on the Macao Peninsula and Taipa Island.

參賽隊伍以煙花配上音樂演出，增強效果和氣氛。比賽匯演於澳門旅遊塔對開海面舉行，觀眾可在不同的晚上欣賞到各地隊伍燃放的璀璨煙花，五彩繽紛、景象萬千，讓遊程更添難忘回憶。

The Dragon Boat Festival (which falls on the 5^th day of the 5^th month in Chinese Lunar Calendar) originally commemorated the ancient patriotic Chinese poet Qu Yuan, who protested corruption by drowning himself.

農曆五月初五是紀念愛國詩人屈原投江自盡的日子。

Today, the celebrations revolve round the hugely popular Macao International Dragon Boat Races contested in late May or June on Nam Van Lake on the historic Praia Grande shorefront.

這天澳門粽子飄香，精彩的國際龍舟比賽最受注目，是澳門端午節最精彩的盛事。

Many local and foreign teams participate in various men’s and women’s divisions, making the medal haul wide and diverse in what has become one of the international sporting community’s favourite outdoor parties in Macao.

澳門及各地龍舟好手在南灣湖內奮勇前進，觀眾的吶喊聲、喧天的鑼鼓聲和飄揚的彩旗，令一向平靜的南灣湖滿載熱鬧氣氛。
